We purchased a king sized mattress one year ago fromSleepy's in MA.

Both sides of this mattress are significantly depressed. When I contacted Sleepy's they indicate we need to obtain "a kit to measure the depression"; kit costs $24.95 or $39.95 if a vendor rep does the inspection.

Bottom Line: they sell a defective product and then the consumer has to pay to prove it's defective. Really ticks me off, not sure what we can do other than order the damn kit (which used to be free).

One thing for sure, we'll never ever buy a mattress from Sleepy's again.

I always wondered about mattresses and depressions. Do people flip their mattresses like you're supposed to? I flip mine and the Mattress is at least 15 years old and still in fine condition. Its an extra firm, that may be a factor. Maybe twice a year it gets flipped.
Then there's weight. I'm a fairly big guy at 200 lbs. and 6'. If I was 300 pounds, that would shorten the life of a mattress dramatically, I would imagine.
