GE Built-In Dishwasher GDWT200RBB

Rating: 4 out of 5
  • Currently 4.0/5.0

The GE Built-In Dishwasher with Hidden Controls, model number GDWT200RBB is a sleek, stylish option that does a good job of cleaning dishes. I purchased it brand new in 2010. It features a steam cycle, a delayed start function, push button technology, an added heat or no heat option, a tub type tall tub, six touchpads, last cycle memory function, a six level wash system, automatic temperature controls and sensing, the Piranha Hard Food Disposer, the CleanSensor Sensor, three direct feed arm feed, a self-cleaning five-stage filtration with an ExtraFine Filer, an end of cycle audible alert, a steam prewash function and heated drying. There is a safety door lock to ensure there is no spray or flooding when in use. The washer can hand up to 16 place settings and has a one piece silverware basket with three section. The highest rack is deep, allowing it to house larger dishes on the top and bottom racked. The racks are removable and are protected wth ball nubs for safe handling.

The dishwasher washes well and the slotted utensil rack allows for thorough cleaning of utensils. The heat option makes it easier to clean built and cooked in grime and caked on food. Even with the drying option, the washer does not get dishes totally dry, so when I want it emptied quickly, I have to hand dry some dishes. This is mostly the case when the dishwasher is packed with dishes. The heat option can also shatter glasses, so use carefully or be prepared for some glass cleanup. The dishwasher is Energy Star certified, making it an energy efficient choose for the home. It is also budget-friendly and for the cost, is a high-quality, quiet dishwasher. The QuietPower Motor ensures you can operate the dishwasher without drowning out conversation or the television. Our kitchen is part of an open floor plan with the dining and living room sharing the space and we have never had an issue with the washer's sound. The style of the dishwasher is modern, fitting perfectly with our kitchen décor and other appliances.
