I don't generally fall in love with kitchen appliances but my Cuisinart Food Processor saved my nephews life, well sort of. It's easy to store but, the brushed stainless left too many finger prints and the smallest of food stains showed up.
I've had my food processor for a couple of years and used it to chop up carrots, beets and other hard vegetables but, I tried it on fruit once and it really mashed it up almost like baby food. Although it did make great smoothies.
My sister and her family came to visit us over the Christmas holiday last year. They live out of state and figured they would buy what they needed for the baby when they got here.
When they arrived there was a blizzard dumping over a foot of snow on our little town. The snow shut everything down. We had everything we needed except diapers and baby food. I tore up old sheets for diapers but for baby food we were out of luck. Until my son said can the food processor make baby food? OMG, we started out with bananas, graduated to oatmeal and applesauce the baby loved it. We had some trouble with meat just couldn't get it smooth enough. Finally we 'peeled' a hot dog and taadaa we had meat. We were stuck inside for a few days and finally got to the store only to find most of the baby food and diapers were gone. All they had left was meat which was all we needed.
Thanks to my Cuisinart no child went hungry at my house.
