Eureka 4870MZ Boss Smart-Vac Upright HEPA Vacuum Cleaner

Rating: 3 out of 5
  • Currently 3.0/5.0

Vacuum cleaners are essential tools in any house around the world, whether you are using it to remove dust and dirt, or spills and messes. Many cheap vacuum cleaners can be purchased for as little as $30, though these are hardly likely to last your very long or work very effectively. With more advanced vacuum cleaners, you will be able to clean up any mess and rely on a long-lasting machine.

The Eureka 4870MZ Boss Smart Vac is one of these advanced machines, but may perhaps be overpriced for its capabilities. While it does have a number of useful technologies, and is easy to use and effective, a vacuum should feature some outstanding technologies to justify a price as high as $199.99. While similar products can be purchased for around $75, this vacuum does simply not offer enough to justify the price.

The Eureka is 45 inches by 11 inches, and offers a 30-foot power cord. The device onboard tools and a stretch hose for above ground cleaning, and can be used on hard floors and carpets alike. With a 12 amp motor and a hepa filtration system, the vacuum can be used with a three stage dust trap system. This cleaning system also allows for cleaner indoor air on top of your clean surfaces.

This system allows you to utilize a brushroll with seven adjustable heights, as well as a motorized brush system. The system claims to eliminate as much as 98% of dust, and well the capabilities are both useful and effective, they are not different enough than those offered on models that are only half of the price. If you want a vacuum that does what a vacuum is supposed to do, this model is effective. It is just not the best price for the capabilities and specifications.
