The Craftsman Riding Lawn Tractor enables me to cut my one acre lawn with relative ease. The model number of my Craftsman mower is 917.28903 and it first appeared on the market in 2008. It has several features that are common to most riding mowers and a few that make it stand out. It has a 42-inch cutting deck, six forward speeds and one reverse, an adjust deck height for longer and shorter cuts and a 17 and a half HP engine. It is an electric start, so I do not have to worry about pulling or revving it to get it to start. It also has an adjustable seat, so I am comfortable while mowing, but others can mow in comfort, too.
In addition to cutting grass, the riding mower has mulching abilities and a trailer towing hitch. These two features come in handy for me because I have a number of trees on my property and being able to mulch branches and leaves keeps my grass clear of debris. The two hitch is also handy because I am able to hitch my trailer wagon to the mower and pick up 40 pound bags of wood pellets for my stove.
The thing I do not like about the Craftsman Mower is having to come to a stop to change gears. I also have concerns about hauling loads that are excessively heavy because the hitch may not be that durable. I like the mower because it is so easy to start, it is comfortable and it is easy to use.
