Eli is the least of the problems for the Giants. How many passes have been dropped over the last couple of weeks? I'm not sure of the total, but there have been lots and at inopportune times.
First and foremost, the defense sucks. The D line could be the most overrated unit in the NFL. Corey Webster is having a terrible season. Can't really blame the rookies at LB, but the LB corps were weak prior to Boley's injury. On a positive note, Amakamura looks good, as does JPP.
Of course, lets not forget Brandon Jacobs. Can we agree that this guy is done?
IMHO, the Giants need a clean slate of coaches. Fewell has proven that he can't make adjustments and is routinely outcoached. Kildrive is insanely predictable. Coughlin may be fine, but if we changed coordinators, he should go as well.
Agree on Eli, the rookie LBs really exposed a total lack of depth at the position, but it is hard to blame rookies for rookie mistakes--they kept making them in the Philly game, and that was Vince Young at the QB. I couldnt imagine how they would stop Brees with that same lineup.
Granted, the holes arent there as they were in the past few years, but as we have all pretty much said, Jacobs doesnt run like he used to. I dont know if Im ready to give up on Fewell yet--I dont think he has enough material to stop an offensive force like the Saints (or Packers, for that matter).
Right now, if the D-Line doesnt play well--which is a crapshoot with Osi being subpar and Tuck not being 100%--the D is doomed.
Well, Giants were close, but close doesnt cut it when you are fighting for the playoffs. Glad to see Big Blue play better than they did against New Orleans!

Doesn't matter if they played better, they still lost at the end of the day. Their final record will probably be 7-9
The problem is the QB who is interception prone and has no mobility at all.
You're not supposed to say that!
Eli Manning is not to be criticized (although I've been saying for years that a QB who's been in the league as long as he has should've proven himself by now. Since he hasn't...well, what you see is what you get. And what you get doesn't measure up to either his brother or his father).

I never been a fan of one-dimensional QB's because they are easy to defend. On the otherhand, Aaron Rodgers is mobile and can run or sit in the pocket and kill you with the pass. Eli would rather throw a interception than take a sack which has always been mind boggling.
