For the most part the entire season has been like this...
How many picked NYG to start 0-5? Pittsburgh 0-4? Atlanta 1-4? NO 5-0? KC 5-0?
Nobody.
I think SEA has a better defense... but NO is a more balanced team. If one team could knock off SEA at Centurylink it would be the Saints... we'll find out later this season.
I can make excuses all day for Atlanta... injuries are a bit part. They've had Steven Jackson for 1 game. Roddy White for about the same... 2 defensive starters have been out since week 2. Now Julio Jones is done for the year. He is leading the NFL in yards along with Graham.. you just can't replace a guy like that when he disappears from your offense. Now Roddy White is hobbled AGAIN and may miss a game or two AFTER this bye week due to a hamstring.
Who's Matt Ryan gonna throw to? Tony Gonzalez? Hard to do that when he's double teamed every play.
The Falcons are done. Poor play... poor coaching decisions. No run game which leads to red zone ineffectiveness. 10 starters out due to injury. It's frustrating because this team was a solid Super Bowl contender... but not anymore.
I'm mad I spent $100 to get the NFL Sunday Ticket so I could watch the Falcons... I sure don't feel like watching them now. I'll let someone else cheer them on to their 3-13 season.
