I think your best chance now would be to check out motels and/or B&B's or at least start from there when you get here and then look for places to rent.

It appears that there are some apartments on Craigslist in your budget in Washington County but hard to know if they will rent month to month. I recommend you not mention that you intend move (buy a house?) once your home sells.
