Hi. We're planning a move to the Gorham area next year. Any info/opinions anyone could give in general would be really appreciated. We have 2 young children -- one will start kindergarten, the other will be ready for preschool. I'm trying to do research on local preschool without much on-line luck. Please let me hear from you if you have comments or suggestions. Thanks!

Default we started our research

Home

Hi,
Check out the above link. I called them and they were extremely helpful in getting our search started and narrowed down. They emailed me a list from a number of communities since we aren't sure which town we'll end up in. We are looking at Gorham too. We have twins so getting something set up to get 2 spots is important to us. Still down in NC so if you see some good places let me know!

I have two suggestions for preschools in Gorham. One is called Country Mile Day School. It is run by Penny Glidden and is located down the street from the library (it is on the corner of that street and the street that goes down to the high school). The other is the Gorham Co-operative preschool. I can't remember the name of the street they are located on, but you can probably get the phone number from the Gorham Times or maybe from someone at the library. You are more apt to get a space in the Co-op, as Country Mile fills up fast.

Gorham's cooperative pre-school always has at least a one year waiting list. Country Mile has very limited space as well. I also checked Gorham House pre-school and was impressed. My son went to USM pre-school/daycare for 4 years and loved it.

Default fabulous preschool

my daughter went to A CHILDS WORLD PRESCHOOL AND CARE CENTER PHONE # 207-892-2223, Mary Partridge and Debbie King opened this preschool maybe 6 or 7 years ago, my daughter went there for two years and they are top notch. Nothing gets forgotten or slips by the cracks with these two women. My daughter learned so much and loved every minute she was there. It takes maybe 15 minutes from gorham in windham me, but is so worth the trip. if you need more info call the number i provided and they will be happy to send you information through the mail and answer any questions you may have, If you speak to them tell them sally, hannah and joes mom says hi.
Good luck with your move.
