Wife and I and our 3 year old have been here for 6 months and are considering the option of building a new house on our lot. This seems like a common option here but is relatively new to us. We looked at Holiday builders and they have a few options, also looked through their available lot list. Any disadvantage to using their lots? Prices seemed competitive with what's on MSL, also they had a few lots that backed to the canal by Becker that seemed cheap. I know you don't own to the water but I see a lot of houses with docks. I guess you apply for a right of way or permit?

Any other builders we should consider in this price range?

where off Becker? You mean on the South side of Becker - the really wide canal that even though you see docks doesn't GO anywhere you can use a boat? Take the address of the lot and look down at it on satellite view. Now follow the water to the EAST towards the turnpike. Tell me what you see....

Yes I'm very aware of that. Was thinking more kayak and fishing...no interest in boat ownership at this time.

ok.. good.. didnt want you to think because there were docks that you could boat anywhere. Kayaking in the area is awesome with SO many places to go just on the river itself and a lot of kayaking groups you can join if you want to.
