Hi, I’m new to this forum and was wondering if buying a mechanic special Porsche would be worth it? Here’s the link:

I texted the owner and he said it needs a transmission module.

So he claimed if it's fixed it's worth $14,000 more than it is sitting there. How much to replace the transmission module?

What do you know about Porsches? Obviously being a newer car there's a lot of wrenching that one cannot do without specialized equipment. Also it's a base Panamera, and their resale value drops like a rock anyway.

I want a Carfax on it, all of the service records and a pre-purchase inspection at a Porsche dealership.

That car is worth about $25-28k, as that is as base of a base model as you can get.

The cost of a PDK transmission is about $7k, and then of course the labor to install it. It's not something you can simply bolt on either, I believe there is coding that needs to be input into the TCU for it. If it were only the TCU module, that can be swapped out for a lot less, which leads me to believe this seller knows the transmission itself is bad and is trying to get out from under it.

It isn't worth 33K with 72K miles. Look at these on ebay:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-Pan...dbDZgc&vxp=mtr

Lower miles, lower prices.
