Neither Bushes or Reagan were fiscally conservative. They all expanded government and Reagan and Bush 1 raised taxes. All 3 of them pimped their constituents with their contrived social conservatism.

Raising taxes doesn't mean you aren't conservative.

Conservative means that you control the spending to essential items, and it means that you raise taxes to pay for those items.

President Bush II was the first President in history to lower taxes during a time of war, and that doesn't make him a conservative, that made him an idiot.

Sometimes, you've got to raise taxes, sometimes things are needed, and someones got to pay for it.

Good description of conservatism, now I wish these folks had been running our government instead of the reckless collection of gamblers and spenders that has led to our current financial and political situation.

What is commonly called conservatism bears no resemblance to actual caution. Instead, we had invasions of foreign countries, huge increases in spending, and very little that could be called conservative.

True, you made me laugh with that idiot line Certain taxes are constitutional and therefore perfectly fall under a conservative umbrella.

not commenting at all on substance. You might learn to not make the mistake again. That's not a typo. You used the incorrect conjugation of the verb. A typo would be "how havb conservatives...."

You are confusing conservatives with republican party politicians, its like confusing democrats with socialists.

Why does everyone think politicians must jack with something that is not broke, only to break it in the end.
