Which is fine and dandy...but just suppose I am a voter 'on the fence', dissatisfied with the President, and I want to hear what the opposition party has to offer platform-wise...all I've heard non-stop, since Inauguration Day, is a bunch of (LOL...I'm wearing this phrase out, but it applies here) chest-beating, flag-waving, pseudo-patriotic badassedness, sound bite after sound bite about what the current administration is doing wrong and boundless accusations of terrorist-and-illegal alien sympathy, financial ruin, socialism and communism, the list goes on and on...
All that confounded hot air and smart-mouthing, and NOT ONE THING about (gasp!!) what they would ACTUALLY DO IF ELECTED...just more 'I hate Barry Hussein Obummer' and nothing else that you could sink your teeth into...you would think that if they're frothing at the mouth THAT MUCH about taking over, they'd actually have a viable platform to show people...but then, I think that would interfere too much with all the hot-air spewing, which is more fun than actually telling potential voters what you stand for...

Very well said too bad your message flew right over the majority of {R} posters heads but you reached a few.It does not take a intellectual giant to point out all the problems and point the finger at the other side.Stay in the forum long enough and you will witness that some {R} posters that are below average in thinking skills can slam the {D}s .Would it be a shock if their 5th grade children could do the same.
I am like you,I want to see what you really stand for and what are your new ideas to turn this country around.One thing about {R} leaders and followers is they think they have the morale high ground.They say they are for smaller gvt,but the gvt grows when they are in control.They say they are against socialism{redistribution of wealth} and vote for subsidies,bail outs,and start a new prescription program.Do not forget they are defenders of the free market,yeah right.
That is why I think you do not hear the leaders saying what they are going to do,they do not have a leg to stand on.See they can get away with duping the ignorant with sound bites and calling the other side socialist,and it works like a charm.But then there are the few which I am a proud member that is looking for ideas and real policy solutions.That takes the time to go over their record and what they are saying to see if they are consistent.
There is a old saying that encourages me "I rather stand alone then run with the hyenas.
It certainly appears it has, but Americans have actully been living in apathy which the money grabbing politicians have been quietly taking advantage of. Now, the sad truth is that we live in a country where menial decision makers are making $7/hr and foreign laborers are first in line to undercut the minimum wage and steal food from the mouths of starving American children.
Meanwhile, the political power brokers are in bed with big business to place more restraints on the average american. The middle class will cease to exist by the end of the decade. By then the majority of americans will be nothing more than indentured servants.
It's been a long time in the making, but the current administration (with it's reckless 'stimulus' spending) put the final nail in the coffin of our children, grand kids and future generation.
They will be the new pyramid builders for the remainder of this century.

Imagine that, the dem congress ALLOWED a foreign leader to come to the capitol to criticize a US state and it's laws - laws that mirror federal law and that are way, way, way more lenient than Mexico's own immigration laws. And the US president joins in on the criticism. Unprecedented.
The federal government would not help Arizona so they do it themselves.

Well said, and i sure as hek absoutely positively agree with you. If only my stupid --- State of Califronia would get on board, but too many in power out here, have sticks stuck up their ---! And many morons, ignorant ones, who also agree with them, they too, have no brains. My Family my friends, acquaintainces, are all on board with supporting Arizona, why the hek not, we have the same problem as that State does, except those in Arizona, actually give a damn about the illegal situation.
