No, just showing that the statement is untrue. Frankly, I think Bush did the right thing by saying the protesters have the right to free speech.
Did he ridicule them as a whole and say that they should thank him?

Well, I can't quote the whole article due to copyright concerns. Maybe you should read it. Is there any doubt he was Nixon's henchman?

Obama's henchman did not stand before a microphone and say that people should thank him. It was Obama himself. Why didn't he let the unpopular Rahm Emanuel or the fool Joe Biden say such a dumb thing? I think Obama is not too bright.

When you get your reality check you will realize that attacking people with whom you don't agree is cowardly. An intelligent person would argue the point and not attact the poster.

He didn't attack anyone, but apparently you want to take the word of Bill O'Reilly and Chris Wallace - you can't think for yourself.

"Attacking people" is a bit of an over the top statement in reference to what Obama said. I have to admire his patience and tolerance with all of the lunacy and stupidity surrounding the bashing that has ensued towards him since he became POTUS.

Vietnam War Protests — History.com Articles, Video, Pictures and Facts

The following year (1969), Nixon claimed in a famous speech that anti-war protesters constituted a small--albeit vocal--minority that should not be allowed to drown out the “silent majority” of Americans.
