Let's go straight to the point,
I bet 99% of you guys has never ever listened to leftwing radio.
I dare you all to listen to the top rated leftwing talk radio host and post your thoughts about it
- Thom Hartmann (12-3pm ET) - (Link: ***KTLK AM 1150***)
Top rated leftwing talk radio host. Very very smart man that likes to have honest political debates instead of fights with conservatives and liberals.
I was going to listen to that frequency all day until I read your post. Actually that freq doesn't make it this far so I would have been listening to music all day.
How funny. I was going to listen too until I read that sewage from the kind of people left winger radio attracts. Why add to their business
Let the left on the radio fail as they always have and we just had a good example why.
So it doesn't sound like any conservatives will listen to Thom, or any other progressives radio hosts. That's unfortunate. You might actually learn a few things from a guy like Thom who is indeed very brilliant. You would learn that he and other hosts like Malloy & Rhodes will often hold Obama and Democrats accountable. When they disagree with the President, they will let their listeners know. It's quite refreshing compared to all of those mainstream conservative hosts that rarely held Bush accountable. Seems like all they did was make excuses for Bush.

Thom Hartmann is often very respectful to conservatives even though he usually disagrees with them on policy & politics. In fact, he doesn't call tea party protesters "teabaggers." He's more into facts than name calling.

Both sides have sewage. I used to listen to Steve Kane, a local conservative radio host and his listeners were crazy and from both sides. I used to tune in hoping to hear a comment from the regular crazies.
I do have to admit that I have not met IRL a listener of leftwing radio like Air America but they do have some strange callers.

Thom's arguments were weak and emotional (the reason why nobody wants to listen to left talk shows in the first place). Thom made a great point though that I think really illustrates the divide between conservatives and liberals. He calls the military, public safety, and public utilities "socialist" and yet both conservatives and liberals agree on them. So why don't conservatives believe in a right to life?
The reason is simple. Military, public safety, and public utilities are services that take care of everyone REGARDLESS of their social class. A hard working individual receives and benefits from military protection the same as someone who doesn't work at all. Public safety, the same thing. The rich can utilize the same services that the poor can. Everyone is covered and everyone can utilize these services. It is FAIR.
What about welfare and healthcare, both liberal endeavorers? Can the rich utilize these services? Sure, but will they ever? Of course not. They have the money to pay for their own services. Because of this there is an unequal distribution. These services are there to benefit primarily the poor, whereas military protection, public safety and utilities is there to benefit everyone.

Actually I don't listen to any radio but I will try to listen to him. I like hearing the other side which is why I watch Fox News. They always have the opposing opinion represented. It is never good to get your opinions from one source.

You really should watch it actually... I found Medved's arguments to be far more convincing and powerful. This video had the opposite effect that I think the OP was looking for.
I especially loved hearing the idiots who boo'd Medved when he started saying there shouldn't be a right to housing and food... lol
