What part of that does the democratic party not get? Obama and Pelosi seem to consider themselves immune to this Constitutional fray. How sad it must be for them to live in a world where they consider themselves to be elite when the majority consider them to be out of touch with the very people they represent.

the democrat party does not care about the constitution when they are in power, just when they are not.

otherwise they would not be shredding it as we speak.

Marie must be the democrat/liberal party, and Louis XVI must be the republican/neocon party.

both political parties in the US are irrelevant

freedom is becoming irrelevant because it requires responsibility
citizens are hardly responsible, so their freedom is taken away (there is no other option)

to play the game is to lose. it's really that simple.
the sooner you let it go, the better

the long, slow demise of the US we "knew" caused primarily by the lack of individual and collective responsibility in what we call the "baby boom" generation has made a nation of lazy cowards screaming for whatever they want, or don't want

Oh, brother.

I won't be surprised if some people start quoting Bible passages to argue against health care reform.

Or maybe announce that god threatens a devastating disaster to punish America.

Actually, I forgot. It's already happened. Yesterday Glenn Beck and Congressman Steve King said that voting for health care reform on a Sunday would be an "affront to God".
