Well, the name "Greenland" should have been changed to "Iceland" accordingly long ago, and then back to "Greenland" once the ice melts and the land turns green

On the serious side, the ice melting over there is not a bad thing. For example, if the sea ice melts, sea routes open-up. If the ice on the land melts, then there is more arable land.

This page explains interesting things about Greenland. It should clear up a few things talked about here.

Global Warming - What about Greenland?

Haha - a very unbiased source indeed.

I'll stick with the scientists. They examine thousands of studies across many disciplines, from deep in the earth to deep into space, not political propaganda from the left and the right.

Well if you live within 20 ft of sea level it is as that is about the size of the rize in sea level we are looking at if it goes the way it looks like. That is if the cie sheet colapses in its entirty.

Maybe we can hire a bunch of anthropologists and such to study the remnants and artifacts of the Viking and Norse civilizations who fled when the ice advanced. Obama can hold a press conference and brag about the "green" jobs he created.

Unfortuatley we can not trust the scientists to provide accurate data due to their political connections.

My home state of Minnesota was once covered by glaciers. They also melted.

Since there is more exposed sand in Greenland, it would be easier to bury our heads, at least there.

Yip I just looked at the photos and drue my own conclutions. It looks like the glassure could drain about 1/3 of the ice sheet. Time frame? 20~50years.

Ok, then you have no problems with the evidence from the scientists showing this:

Data @ NASA GISS: Surface Temperature Analysis - Station Data

Or this:

Quote:
The Arctic seems to be warming up. Reports from fishermen, seal hunters, and explorers who sail the seas about Sitzbergen and the eastern Arctic, all point to a radical change in climatic conditions, and hitherto unheard-
of high temperatures in that part of the earth’s surface.
Quote:
…he first noted warmer conditions in 1915, that since that time it has steadily gotten warmer, and that to-day the Arctic of that region is not recognizable as the same region of 1865 to 1917.
Quote:
Many old landmarks are so changed as to be unrecognizable. Where formerly great masses of ice were found there are now often moraines, accumulations of earth and stones. At many points where glaciers extended far into the sea they have entirely disappeared.
Or did you mean you will stick with the scientists who support your view?
