People complain about job loss at Sam's Club and Home Depot and blame it on Obama?

How about we blame Sam's Club and Home Depot, both multibillion dollar corporations that could easily afford to not lay off their peons if it weren't for their CEOs not willing to take a slight paycut out of their multi-million dollar (per year) salaries.

Maybe socialism wouldn't be such a bad thing, since the people that run every large company are greedy as **** and will gladly acquire sums of money that amount to so much that they can't even be spent in several lifetimes while the masses live in poverty and children go hungry in our own country. Oh but that's capitalism and capitalism is so wonderful!

Over the past 5 years or so when times were booming these places were expanding way too quick. In my area we went from 1 HD serving the area to 3 all too close IMHO. Now we have 3 semi-empty HD's .

Look around..the RE boom did this with chains practically ever other block.
Now that people have reigned in spending the cost to maintain these stores is just too much. It's just natural contraction to get back to a balance. I wouldn't mind seeing my area go back to the single HD that had a big selection and solid inventory. When we went to three the variety declined at all three and they were sometimes out of stock because they seemed to be spread too thin.

Nah, that explanation is just too sensible. It's Obama's fault.

Do you ever read the links you provide, or just find something and attach an Obama to it.

I wonder why Lowe's isn't laying off 1000 employees as well?

Business must be equally as bad for them, don't you think?

Not quite. Lowe's has a different business model and shoots for a different target customer.

They are similar but not the exact same.
HD also spread themselves thin with many more stores than Lowe's.
