First off, I am a fan of none of the teams that were playing yesterday, but is it me or did the Saints get handed the NFC title through that pass interference call? The receiver would have had to be 9-foot tall to even have a shot at catching the ball. It is probably because the government still feels guilty about the Katrina response and told the NFL to throw them a bone.
It's because Brett Favre is an idiot/loose cannon, it's not like this is the first playoff game he's thrown away. The Saints are a solid team and they deserve it.

No, the Vikings gave the Saints the NFC title as a part of Brett Favre's fuility and Adrian Peterson's butterfingers.
They fumbeled five times, and Favre threw two INTs, including the critical one in the end. So, unless the whole Vikings team was in on this new right wing conspiracy, then I believe it, otherwise I call it BS.
OP, Lets see what happens to Nawlins after the superbowl before you think the NFL did them any favors.
I'm sure all superbowl celebrations will be civil, with minimal damage to property, nominal domestic and other violence incidents, and an average amount of property crime.
The Saints just played the better game. They, and the other teams in NFC South should hope Jake (he who completes more interceptions than passes) Delhomme is still the Panthers quarterback next year. I suspect the whole league hopes Coach Fox is really that stupid. Matt Moore did a really great job.
