Ever heard of common sense?

People rushed to close on homes in November before the tax credit expired.

Now that the credit was extended 6 more months, people are taking their time ... and OBVIOUSLY sales would drop in December!

Can you say ... DUH?

Do you also wonder why the Saturday immediately following Black Friday has much lower sales volume than Black Friday?

The minds of Republicans never ceases to amaze me!

The tax credit was expanded after the deadline and it was known ahead of time that even existing homeowners would get 6,500. If anything, this should have increased home sales. RD is one of the biggest water carriers for the Dems. Party first, party always.

It will more than likely pick back up again the month of January & February. It was announced I believe today that the government was no longer going to subsidize the mortgage interest rates to keep them low. So those who were dragging their feet will try to get in on the interest rates before they start going back up to 6 & 7%

Then prices will drop further, guaranteed. It must fall further to make up for the interest rate hikes.

Wow. this is devastating news. So..far a year obama focused like a zealous nut on health care, instead of on jobs and the economy. If you don't have a job, you can't buy a home, if you don't have a job, how can you keep your home?
Down 17% compared to November 2009, UP^ 15% compared to December 2008....

Common sense tells me this is the largest DROP IN 40 YEARS!!!

Spin it all you want but because of Obamas failure to create and keep jobs he has destroyed the home market to the worst position in 40 YEARS!!

Yes, common sense

THE WORST IN 40 YEARS and on Obamas watch.

Wow, what did you expect?

I would say that you owe us a link with your 15% figure in it. The nearest to that number I found in that article was this: The median sales price was $178,300, up 1.5 percent from a year earlier and the first yearly gain since August 2007

You didn't by any chance misread something by accident, did you?
