His approval ratings have steadily gone DOWN over the last several months. How many times are you going to deny the facts and keep restating this mantra knowing that it is untrue? His ratings are tanking!

I live in NJ. I don't think Corzine lost because he was a democrat or that Christie won because he was so great. It was more Corzine didn't do what he said he was going to do mostly lower property taxes. Out with the old who didn't keep promises and maybe this new guys plan and promises will come true. there is more hope there.
It wouldn't have much matter who ran against him. New promises and new hope that maybe this time the promises will come true because Corzine promised and didn't fulfill. It's about property tax in NJ. Corzine promised to reduce property tax and didn't do it and toward the end of his term he was going to cancel the homestead rebate ( rebate due to help with high property tax). Because of NJ tax amnesty more money was taken in and the rebate was reinstated to those families making less than $75000( I believe that was the numbrer ) or less and for those below the amt. was less. Well in NJ $75000 is not all that much for family income so it hit a lot of families. Christie comes in and promises property tax relief by reducing gov't, goes after the teacher's unions, goes after gov't pensions and wa la new promises out with the old in with the new. At least there is hope where Corzine ran on things are bad cut rebate... fear of raising taxes etc. NJ has one of the highest property taxes in the country. Sad part is it will be more of the same. And that is the problem Obama is facing now. Big dream Big hopes in his campaign but once he gets in office even though he wants those dreams to happen he just isn't able to pull it off..... to many things tugging at you.... big business, banks, insurance companies , disasters in other countries, wars..... and the working people in the country get hit with the expenses of fixing all these other things but the things that are hurting them.

A majority, yes. Huge, no.

Just goes to show that some people truly don't know what is best for them.

I think you would have had to have voted for Obama to have ANY clue as to "What Obama was elected for.".

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that you didn't vote for him.

I did and can tell you that the reasons for it were way more far-reaching than a simple, "I'm electing him to fix the economy."...

Pretty refreshing if you ask me....

You're assuming the people will forget what happened under 6 years of full Republican power?

It wasn't THAT long ago now....

It only takes one little stint like this, to remind everyone why they gave the Conservative 6 years to run, instead of 2 or 4 years. A little taste and they run back to Conservative views.

Ah yes. . . . Record low unemployment. Record high stock market. Booming real estate. Steady, healthy economic growth. Low taxes. Iraq on the path to democracy. NK/Iran not in open rebellion with world nuclear non-proliferation efforts. 5 years of no terrorist attacks on US interests. Captured terrorists intent on killing Americans safely behind bars.

Then came Pelosi and company. Sigh. . . .

You don't understand the concept of "bubble" do you?

EVERYTHING that allowed these gluttonous times you refer to has come back to bite us in the a$$ and put us where we are now....
