Anyone with an ounce of credibility would have already realized that Obama's use of "we" indicated America, not Obama himself, but I guess some people can't think beyond their irrational hatred. Do you see it now? Can you put away the hatred for a moment?
Thank you. Now, having read the entire speech, I see nothing in it that would indicate Mr. Obama thinks 'we work for him'. Seems to me to be very similar to JFK's famous line: "Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country." IOW, we should all be doing what we can for the good of the country, whether that means we look to the emissions info when we buy our cars or look at the efficiency of the appliances we buy or anything else.
And we’ll keep our free market economy over your socialist “clean energy economy”, thank you very much.
Socialism does not mean "something I disagree with." There is nothing inherently socialist about clean energy. My god, it's as if rightwingers think pollution is capitalistic and clean energy is communist. The nonsense spewed when Democrats are in control is mind boggling. It becomes such, when discussion is silenced with statements like "the science is settled" and our president runs with it with like it's a mandate.
