I have come to conclude over the last 6 months, that I am a National Socialist. The man I was even a year ago would hardly recognize who I see myself as now.

That's my take on it, too. Often, the term libertarianism is lumped in with the right wing, but people in focusing on modern American politics, tend to forget the liberal libertarian movements (especially characterized in the 1960's in the U.S.).

Being left and libertarian is a bit tricky because most on the left believe in government controls and libertarians believe just the opposite.

I am right and liberatarian, but not completely either. Mostly I am right of center, believe in as little government as possible but I do beleive we need some controls.

The few I know who say they are both left and libertarian mostly want to see things like drugs legalized. That is where they get their label ideas.

i think this is an interesting poll but i don't think you can really be left and libertarian. i would fall into a category of socially libertarian and fiscally conservative, so you would need an "other" category for my vote.

socially liberal+fiscally conservative=libertarian

You are right, the OP's categories are screwed up.

I too thought, many of us would not fit into any of the choices.
