Seize the Moment on Climate Change (http://www.miamiherald.com/opinion/editorials/story/1369218.html - broken link)

Quote:
The science is complex but the facts are clear. The world needs to take steps to limit temperature rises to two degrees Centigrade (3.6 degrees Farenheit), an aim that will require global emissions to begin falling within the next five-10 years. A bigger rise of three or four degrees C (5.4-7.2 F) -- the smallest increase we can expect to follow inaction -- would parch continents, turning farmland into desert. Half of all species could become extinct, millions of people would be displaced, whole nations drowned by the sea. The controversy over e-mails by British researchers that suggest they tried to suppress inconvenient data has muddied the waters but failed to dent the mass of evidence on which these predictions are based.
And for those who believe that climate change is in part the result of hysteria by this country's main stream media, the editorial appeared today in 56 newspapers in 45 countries. The link above is to the editorial as it appears in the Miami Herald, apparently the only newspaper in the U.S. to carry it.

This is such a dangerous and horrible scam.
Quote:
Across the globe, 56 newspapers published the same editorial telling their leaders to agree on action to limit temperature rises to 2.0 degrees Celsius (3.6 degrees Fahrenheit) or risk seeing climate change "ravage our planet".

Copenhagen climate conference opens to dire warnings
I like this one, all we have is an unproven and much contested theory that man-induced CO2 is causing world wide temperature increases, by lets jump right past that, and claim that not only is the theory proven, but humans can actually manipulate the temperature of the earth now, that we can mandate specific temperatures.

Quote:
Climate negotiators and world leaders from 192 nations are meeting in Copenhagen in the next two weeks, seeking to agree on an all-encompassing package to combat global warming and help its victims. A key issue is cutting the greenhouse emissions that scientists say are to blame for the warming in average global temperatures observed in recent decades.
“Help its victims”?? Yup, the whole purpose for this “all-encompassing package to combat global warming” is just a scam to fleece the developed western nations out of trillions of dollars in financial and technology transfers to the poorer nations, who are victimized by the success of the west. Many of these countries are only poor and under developed because they are run by despotic dictators, exist in the middle of never ending feuds and civil wars, or they are ruled by some form of socialist government, or their people have been living in an arid, and inhospitable area for centuries. Like Sam Kinnison said, "Its sand.... sand.... GO WHERE THE FOOD IS."

Quote:
U.S. climate negotiator Jonathan Pershing called the science on global warming "very robust, very substantial." He told the AP that the controversy surrounding the leaked e-mails came at an "unfortunate" time, just before the long-awaited U.N. talks, "but has no fundamental bearing on the outcome."

UN climate chief: hacked e-mails are damaging
They are about to scam the western nations out of trillions of dollars. Then, emails are hacked that show the at the very heart of the global warming data research, we have scientists corrupting data, deleting, manipulating and hiding core reference data, while suppressing contrary data, and these guys say it will have “no fundamental bearing on the outcome"?? In other words, the march toward global tyranny cannot be bothered if the entire premise of their summit meeting may be based upon a total fraud and a scam.

And notice the talks go on in Copenhagen regardless ?
Only Gore backed out and I figured he's just laying low because he refuses to debate any of the issues.

This just shows me that the big money has won. They will not question this big transfer of wealth...it benefits the multinationals to see more third world countries develop to the point they are useful to them.

The US has been gutted..time to find fresh meat.

This is what's called trying to create a bandwagon effect. Everybody must jump aboard or be left behind. Another term for it is mass hysteria.

Listen, if you go to an automobile showroom and you get a salesman who wants to rush you into making a purchase, what do you do? If you have your wits about you you'll get the heck out of there. Pressure tactics usually signal a problem with the product being pushed. Come on people. Can't you recognize the desperation of these global warming types? Get out of there before you (we) get taken to the cleaners.

Well at least the people of the countries that are prepared and willing to do something, outnumber the idiots and small thinking deniers such as the ones that post here. If we clean up the envoronment and are breathing cleaner air, that within itself will be a step in the right direction. The USA is shamefully lagging behind where it should be in leading the cause. Not surprising when you realize how many really stupid people just don't get it.

don't forget to exclude the UK, Australia and Japan from countries that are cooperating. They just denounced all this AGW crap as just that....CRAP!
