No, Bush didn't have a Sex Sandal, but he was the laughingstock of the world.

Europeans are much more accepting of a man's marital infidelity than Americans are. To them it was funny because he got caught and we were making "much ado about nothing". I visited Costa Rica during that time and can assure you that there were plenty of people down there who were laughing and making fun of America over this. They were even selling "Lewinsky Candy" in places......candy created by dripping sugar cane juices onto a hard surface until a sugar "stalagmite" was built up to about 6 inches tall. Get the picture?

I thought everyone just hated him.

That's pretty funny.

Liberals frequently point out the acceptance of our European cousins when it comes to sex scandals and infidelity. Why then all the outrage when a republican gets caught ? If it's no big deal, why do you focus on it?

I don't get outraged. I find it H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S. Especially when it involves going missing for six days or being caught in a car with an 18-year-old stripper and a collection of sex toys. The people I feel bad for are the families, who are not only personally hurt, but publicly humiliated.
