At least five times a day.
It's 5 times a day. And church bells ring on the hour every hour from what I've heard. I have no inclination to ban any religion, not even christianity. I'm not sure why some who are against government intervention seem to be filled w/glee w/the idea of this. Surely if it were your own religion you would find fault w/this.

Switzerland appears to have backed minaret ban - Telegraph
I still dont see where this equate to a "Bravo" comment being appropriate. I could compare this to back alley abortions. Lets just hide these minarets, maybe the religion will just disappear..

Well you're right, it's not banning a religion. I guess I should rephrase that. Perhaps banning a significant part of their religion? I just think that christians in this country (even though this has nothing to do w/our country as of this point) would be pretty perturbed if there were a ban on church bells here, don't you think? Regardless, this is about Switzerland, not here so I don't want to go too off topic.

6% of which nation?

France has about 10% of it's population, and suffers for it.

Actually most European nations suffer the effects of having Muslims in their population.

Sorry if you having lived there doesn't have me awestruck.
