Now that she is stepping down from the daily grind of her talk show I expect we will be seeing her do "Specials" like this the way Barbara Walters did.
That should be interesting. I've always enjoyed the Christmas specials that take place at the White House. Some of the best have been on the history channel and I've seen them many times. One even includes Barney, the Bush dog, pushing glass Christmas balls across the floor. Very cute.

1. She is not stepping down until 2 years from now
2. She is likely going to air her show on her own cable channel instead of syndication
3. #2 above is essentially the Jay Leno show all over again. Yes, Jay no longer hosts the Tonight Show but he just happens to host the exact same type of show an hour earlier called the Jay Leno Show as opposed to the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Like anyone referred to it as the Tonight Show; they just called it "Leno" In other words, there was no change but NBC tried to spin it like they were making ground breaking changes!
I just find this Oprah thing insulting to our intelligence. In the next 2 years, she will have multiple sob stories and sentimental crap celebrating her "last show" only to find out in 2011 that she will host a "new show" on her own "O" cable channel in 2012 because Oprah "changed her mind". Nonetheless, the sheeple in America are crying over "losing Oprah"...one word MORONS!
