If you have not noticed with the low tolerance and non enforcement of illegal immigration into the US, they are setting us up to compete with China and India on low cost exports to be a global economy.

This was always my worry with say NAFTA and GATT...
These things will force the working class of the U.S. to compete dollar for dollar with foreign labor. Which is fine, if the cost of all goods, including homes is going to come down to meet the lower wages. (Of course folks that had hoped to retire on the now defunct run up of home prices will scream at that statement.)
Bottom line is, if we want to be global, and have the quality if life we've enjoyed 'till now, the problem isn't how to drive U.S. wages down to 3rd world levels, but how to bring the world up to U.S. levels of quality of life.
Problem is, there probably aren't enough resources on the planet to allow for that...
It is known that Bush disdained the lower and middle classes and did everything he could to try and destroy them.
Lookig at thier borrowing and this gocvernamnts under Obama its looks the same. Delude yourself into believeing that the bill will not vome due and 505 of the nation can support the rst as freeloaders.
