1. No one on this board has claimed that Levi Johnston is a liberal. The Liberal's poster child yes, liberal no.

The guy was not even out of high school when the spot light was turned on him - BY THE PALIN FAMILY. The immaturity that you cite existed then - as it does now - and he lacked the experience and the smarts to refuse to go along with the Palin family's ruse.
He got swept up when he was useful and swept out when that was no longer so.
I agree that everyone involved here needs to shift their primary focus to that little boy and away from their personal vendettas. The person who needs to do so most isn't SP or Levi; it's Todd. He doesn't say much publicly but he's very much a player here.
Maybe if the Religious Right taught people to use condoms(instead of preaching an unrealistic option like abstinence) and options like Plan B, then this poor kid wouldn't have been born especially when both parents aren't ready. But of course, the Evangelical Right doesn't think about that. They discourage birth control methods because they think that promotes sex. When in reality, kids are going to have sex and it's better to educate them on birth control methods and even options like Plan B. Also, they need to stop conveying to their kids that it's okay to have babies early when they are teenagers or young adults because the reality is they are not at a situation in life in which they can support themselves. Now this poor kid is going to grow up without a responsible dad and a mom who is uneducated and is going to rely on her mom to support them for the rest of their life.
Levi Johnson needs to SHUT UP and be a DAD! Does he realize he has a precious little boy that needs his father?

Palin is the GRANDMOTHER of YOUR BABY! HE SHOULD SHOW PALIN SOME RESPECT! He does not have to like her but she is his elder. Plus the grandmother. Palin is probably paying most the baby anyways!

Oh, the memories- At the GOP convention; such a touching moment of the parents to be. It made every unplanned pregnant teen age girl think - now why can't I find an upstanding young man like that? McCain shaking Levi's hand and giving Bristol a hug. Palin parading the pregnant daughter and soon to be son in law around - all the while trying to impose an evangelical right moral standard.
And yes, Palin/McCain - I mean McCain/Palin were full of ****.
Did you ever think, after you waded through all that bile in front of your eyes, that everyone was just trying to make the best of a bad situation.
If my child had had a kid as a teenager I would certainly try to embrace the father as much as possible for the sake of all involved, especially my grandchild.
