So what does it say about our current President and his enormous pre-election popularity?

It wasn't so much that Sarah Palin quit on the state of Alaska....her last day in office should be made into a state holiday, in my opinion. It was that rambling spectacle she made of herself on television to announce her resignation without even giving us one coherent reason for doing so.

That he won the election, and Governor Winka-Winka-Giddyap-'I Quit' didn't...that, in itself, speaks volumes to me

Exactly. They fear her. They know she is right.

Maybe you didn't get the memo - Palin wasn't running against Obama. McCain was. Now that you've gotten the news, spread it around your peer group. You guys haven't been able to grasp that simple concept, and it's been well over a year now.

Oh, and your having to resort to name calling instead of voicing any type of legitimate criticism "speaks volumes to me" about you...

Yeah, the accent, fishing and life a "commoner" certainly should subject you to ridicule.

Hutchison is fairly moderate on the abortion question.

Not at all, though I know you were being facetious. But the accent, the fishing, the life of a commoner...are all fake. The only time Palin went out to their set net operation in Bristol this year was for a photo shoot.

I guess this is great news for Sarah...great picture btw....

Why is the left so obsessed with Sarah Palin? She is not a viable republican candidate for the upcoming presidential election and I really cannot understand why they expend so much effort villifying her. Who cares!

You're right, I was being facetious. The accent would be tough to fake, though I'm sure she plays it up a little. I have no idea about her fishing, what tells you she doesn't fish?

Because the Right idolizes her so much. And because with her faked phony hominess and her dropping of 'g's' at the end of words, and her obvious disdain for anybody who dares to question anything she says, and her desire to split the country into 'real Americans' that think like her and terrorist lovers who don't, she makes such an easy target.
