And maybe this will bring more honest professionals into our healthcare industry.
Majority of the ones who are considering quitting are the same ones who are doing illigal practices on patients & robbing some of the American health insurance companies.
They are the ones who played a great role in driving up health insurance costs.
Now they're just upset because there's going to be a closer watch & more control over them!
I just love it when people who have no clue spout off like experts. The people considering quitting or cutting their hours back (more likely) are hardworking people of integrity who have had it with being pushed around by the government. They're tired of working harder and being taxed more and more. Being disrespected at every turn. Concepts most people can't understand whatsoever because that level of work and responsibility is beyond them.
If they don't mention it, then how does OldGringo know this as fact?
Please tell us how you know the demographics of those "4 out of 9" that were polled.
It's sad what lengths people like you will go to pull a fact out of your ass to make a case. And it's even sadder that the people on this forum fall for it hook, line, and sinker.
The fact of the matter is that this article says nothing about the polled demographic being anywhere near retirement.
Typical. Phony. Liberal.
I know, I know...
I get my info from sources other than Limbaugh and Fox News. So it has to bogus. Andliberal. You guys are a hoot.
It's common knowledge in the health care industry that the "baby boomer" phenomenon is going to have a big impact on physician retirement in the next few years. Lots of today's practicing doctors are boomers who are rapidly approaching retirement age. These guys will retire soon no matter what congress does or doesn't do about health care.
"IMPLICATIONS FOR POLICY, DELIVERY OR PRACTICE: There are several reasons why the impact of early physician retirement will become more significant in the near future. First, the U.S. physician population is aging. During the 1970s, the number of new physicians per year nearly doubled - the result of policy efforts that dramatically increased the capacity of U.S. medical schools and eased the entry of foreign-trained physicians into the U.S. Most of the physicians who entered the active physician population in the 1970s will reach the age of 60 sometime between 2000 and 2010."

There is NOTHING in that article that says or even suggests that the age range polled was that of aging or retirement-eligible doctors. Therefore, Gringo pulled that statistic from his ass to make a case.
In your opinion, are the Doctors who are refusing now to accept Medicare or Medicaid being "dishonest"?
Yes, some of them are.
I had a neighbor who's son is a pediatrician at Children's Medical Center & a while ago, he told my family about a lot of shady practices that were going on with some of the doctors.
He said that some of the healthcare providers would purposely over prescribe on certain things like eyeglasses to families who were receiving medical assistance.
This I think is true because for example, when I was a child I grew up in a low to moderate income area in DC where a lot of families were receiving medicare at the time.
There were a couple of healthcare providers in the neighborhood.
Every year, a couple of my friends & neighbors who were receiving medicare would visit the doctor & each time, the doctors would prescribe the eyeglasses to every child in the family.
I still keep in contact with some of my friends from that neighborhood & up to this date, none of them are in need of eyeglasses.
One of them even told me that her current eye doctor she has with her health insurance told her that she had great vision & didn't see any reason why she had to wear glasses as a child.
This goes to show you that some of these doctors are criminals!
This is what the ' leaders ' want to eleminate all Americans from every professional level . Our engineers also " need not aplly " for jobs they go to the ones from India . Our teachers jobs are going to new arrivals from China ,etc, etc, etc the list goes on and on ..
They can then fill up these jobs with socialist that don't care about sovereignty or liberty but only what they can get .
Not to blame the foreigners because they come from the worse poverty stricken places on earth and never known freedom of speech or religion.
Wake up young America, your country is being sold out to the traitors who ' serve ' you ,the professors who brainwash you and the race husters who control your actions and destiny .
hmm maybe this wil open up the job market for new and upcoming doctors, heck maybe even smarter cheap laborer doctors from india who are even more educated than american doctors
Indeed!
However, this poll is for the desperate... its from Investors.com/IBDEditorials for goodness sake! Let those who fall for it... do so at their own expense.
I asked if it was dishonest that many physicans were DROPPING taking Medicare.
I know that's not what you asked but that's my opinion.
But if you read my post from the start, you would see that my answer to your question was a simple "Yes".
