Now you see that's what I don't get. What in the hell was the point in even getting the government involved if it couldn't offer a way less expensive alternative to the insurance robber barons' exorbitant premiums? And will the government drop you like hot potato like Big Insurance does if a catastrophic illness comes along? What a &^%$ joke!

No, they won't drop you .. per se'

If there is too much of that catastrophe stuff going on, and it starts proving to be a drain on the system, the government reserves the right to 1) raise rates, 2) reduce coverage, or 3) place you on a waiting list. (my money says that the gov will do all 3 of these things at once)

Sounds like fun .. huh?

I'm still looking for the part where I read that it would be more expensive. There's a ton of stuff in this thing, so it's hard to remember just where it was.
