Please. There were more than 160 Republican amendments included just in the HELP Committee draft of the health care bill. Try to stay connected to reality.

The only plan that Boehner has yet admitted to having involves tort reform, letting insurance companies further cut benefits by selling across state lines, telling individuals and small businesses to pool their resources, and telling the states to go figure out everything else. No language and no CBO scoring, but they promise...they really, really promise...to come up with those. Dems behind the scenes have so far been encouraging of the idea. They'd love to have an actual Republican plan on the table to ridicule by comparison. Remember the Republican Budget with No Numbers? Here we go again...

They are certainly working behind closed doors in assembing the manager's amendments. That's SUPPOSDED to be done by the majority. The minoirty is free to submit their own, which is what in desperation they now seem to be considering. Your complaint, however, is akin to some liberal protesting that Democrats were shut out of writing the Republican Party Platform last year...

No, I act as if their failure over the past eight months to offer anything substantive to the health care debate as a sign that they have nothing to offer. Death panels...that's been their biggie...

So, Republicans are happy to see the USA be the laughing stock of the developed world, as tens of millions of Americans go without health insurance, leaving them to get by with substandard care and leaving the rest of us of to pick up the tab, all while insurance companies act to assure that 30% of what we spend on health care provides no actual health benefits to anyone at all? Is that it?
