Can someone explain this whole thing to me? Why are all the fashion heads going crazy over Michelle Obama's biceps?

^ honestly, that's not that impressive. I have some female friends my age (im 21) who make Mrs Obama look weak and pathetic in comparison.

On the plus side I will admit that I think she is a great role model in terms of eating right and getting/staying in shape, especially for our minority communities, Indian reservations, and US territories which seem to have abnormally high levels of obesity and related health problems.

I too happen to believe she is a great role model when it comes to keeping in shape and eating right, or so we are led to believe. As for her body period, I don't see what the hype is all about and I think she walks like a horse. Sorry Michelle lovers!!!

She does have a quirky walk. But you're right...she's in very good shape.

Yes, most 21 year old women have great biceps ---- it is noteworthy when a woman in her 40's still has great biceps. Ever hear the phrase 'bat wings'? Your female friends will become intimately acquinted with them in about twenty years or so....

I think those who criticize Michelle's body type are envious of her, plain and simple.

I don't know she is "way better looking" then Hillary, but again I don't think either of them would win a beauty contest, nor do I think either are ugly. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I am sure Obama likes her looks, whether Bill like Hillary's? You be the judge!!!

It's not just Michelle Obama. Any woman in the public eye is subjected to relentless scrutiny. She's too fat! She's too thin! She has cellulite! She dared to wear a bikini with those thighs! She looks great...for her age!

Men are rarely subjected to the same type of judgments. It's a classic double standard.

The thread is about MO's looks. I am putting in my 2 cents. That's what.
