Meltdown 101: Budget gap huge, but has been worse - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_meltdown101_budget_by_the_numbers - broken link)
It has tuned from "Hope and Change" to "I hope to have change left"

Of course ignore the massive increases during Reagan, Bush Sr. and Bush Jr...while declining during Clinton.

U.S. National Debt Graph: Since Great Depression

It goes pretty much vertical the last half of Bush Jr's presidency.

But they didn't have massive job losses and runaway unemployment or a total meltdown in housing.

You really have to look at the entire picture to compare..not just tiny pieces of it.

I should update my status with "Debt is wealth", and make sure I credit saganista (TM) for it.

The economy keeps tanking
We still have 2 wars
Foreign policy is a joke, china, russia, and Iran are pushing us around
Democrats have majorities in both houses and have done almost nothing. They can't even agree among themselves.
The President is still blaming Bush for everything. I wish he would shut up and do his job instead of always whining about Bush.
The stimulus is a complete joke
Healthcare reform is a complete joke

So please, I beg you. Let's discuss the hope and change......

Other than "Bush did it", you won't get much of a discussion.
