Several years ago, the call screener/producer left Limbaugh for a gig doing an internet radio program. Eventually it failed - and Rush took him back.

If Rush was a real racist - would he have done that?

Rush Limbaugh is not a racist in the traditional redneck sense of hating American blacks because they are black, I would agree with that.

That said, his whole neoconservative viewpoint is so steeped in anti-Middle Eastern bigotry that I think he would qualify as a racist under that banner.

Just because someone hires a black person doesn't mean they aren't still racist. Having black people working under your control is not an argument to prove a point of non-racist. We know nothing about how he treats his black employees and if there is any genuine warmth between them, or not.

Rush doesn't have the guts to be a true racist. Instead, he speaks in terms of "those people" and "they" versus "us" and "our". What he really means be this is anyone's guess.

The idea that having a black person working for him suggests that he's not a racist, is, well, laughable at best.

Because we all know that black people have never in history worked for racist white guys.
