Your username says no nonsense guy.

Then how come most of what you say is nonsense?

Obama is the enemy of the United States? Thanks for the laugh. I hope you were crying about America being in trouble when Bush was elected because THAT is when everything began to fall downhill.

The spirit of my proposal is that a naturalised USA citizen can be as patriotic as a born in USA citizen...

We have the perfect example in Barack H. Obama. He is not a natrual born citizen (if he was, why doesn't he offer the proof? But he won't.) Where are his loyalties? Not to America, as we are already seeing.
Some of the most loyal, patriotic and informed citizens I have met have been immigrants.
I would gladly trust them with the future of our country over some ignorant, militant neocon that wants to put us further behind the rest of the world.

US Dual Citizenship: The U.S. government allows dual citizenship. United States law recognizes U.S. Dual Citizenship, but the U.S. government does not encourage it is as a matter of policy due to the problems that may arise from it.

No. I think the office of POTUS should always and only be held by a natural born American (note: it doesn't matter WHERE they were born). It's not just about doing good work, it represents something more. I do think immigrants should be able to hold any other office however.

Actually, naturalised US citizens can run for Reps 7 years after naturalisation & for Senators after 9...

So an immigrant starts with a work visa,
in 2 years gets the green card,
in 2+5 = 7 gets the citizenship,
in 7+7= 14 runs for House,
in 7+9 = 16 runs for Senate...

Or,by marriage it is 3+7=10 for House,3+ 9= 12 for Senate

But he cannot run for President,be a Secretary of State or be Speaker of the House ...

BTW,as an immigrant,I am against dual (or multiple) nationality.

When I become a proud US citizen,I will denounce my former citizenship...

For me,nationality is like marriage. U cannot be a bigamist...

They can be Sec. of State. Neither Henry Kissenger nor Madeleine Albright were born here.

True, but you still can't be president. Besides, there is no official 'patriotism' qualification for the job.
