When Secretary of Energy Steven Chu thinks of the American people, he apparently sees a bunch of unruly teenagers who need to be told how to act.
Asked at a seminar on reconstructing America's electrical grid about the Obama administration's efforts to persuade people to conserve energy, Chu said “the American public…just like your teenage kids, aren’t acting in a way that they should act. The American public has to really understand in their core how important this issue is,” according to The Wall Street Journal.

I doubt the American public has made it to the teen level. We usually act like first graders. Teh american motto should be, "What is mine is mine and yours is up for grabs."
Haven't we seen enough already that people who support Obama and his policies claim that anybody that doesn't agree must be ignorant? Talk about a bunch of arrogant pricks.
Germany is very successful in their efforts to be energy independent. The people there are obviously way more responsible, unselfish, aware and educated than here.

Just what lefties seem to be saying in supporting a man who has talked about redistribution of wealth so many times.
This morning I told my son, who is in the process of buying his first home, that if they manage to get the Crap and Tax bill passed along with the coming health care improvements he can expect to see more of his pay check going to just that, redistribution. He is one selfish conservative when it comes to who spends his money. He doesn't want to be one of the working poor as Obama wants him to become.

I have always wondered about the value of solar power in Germany. In the spring of 1956 we experienced 40 days of rain every day with so little sunshine it was unbelievable. Of course, that was near Munich in the south of Germany so maybe the sun shines more a bit further north.
Do you know how many oil wells there are in Germany? Not many that aren't hooked to a pipeline.

Obviously!! That's why the U.S. has the best research universities in the world, by far the highest GDP, with the highest - by far - private per capita expenditure in charities, highest rates of volunteering per capita...because we are so irresponsible, selfish, unaware and uneducated.
As usual and duly noted from the left, Americans are the scourge of the planet
And who's acting like a teen with their massive carbon footprint date nights?
It certainly appears that you are right. However, I have been hearing, all morning, about the amounts of money that we send to governments each year that aren't all democratic ones. The largest amount was to Russia. Does that make any sense at all? If we are the scourge then it must be for something other than the way we share our "wealth"??.
