Video: Federal Reserve Cannot Account for $9 Trillion

Ever wonder why the stock market has surged the past 6 months for no apparent reason?

'The Federal Reserve apparently can't account for $9 trillion in off-balance sheet transactions.

When Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Orlando) asked Inspector General Elizabeth Coleman of the Federal Reserve some very basic questions about where the trillions of dollars that have come from the Fed's expanded balance sheet, the IG didn't know.

Worse, nobody at the Fed seems to have any idea what the losses on its $2 trillion portfolio really are.

"I am shocked to find out that nobody at the Federal Reserve is keeping track of anything," Grayson says.

Was it not just a couple weeks ago Bernanke was brought to tears when we dare ask to audit the Fed?

Like I said... I think the government has a HUGE hand in manipulating the markets... they are throwing cash into the system... nobody seems to believe me.... By throwing cash, they are hoping to improve confidence... and then quietly withdraw at a later time... I can't understand why stocks are up... although my portfolio has improved a lot except for my non-retirement portfolio... coincidence? I don't think so...

Are you saying that some of that missing 9 trillion has found it's way into the stock market?
