So I was reading some posts on here and thinking about how much people on here are afraid of everything.

I'll list some things I'm afraid of:

Failing in school

Getting a crippling illness but treatable and insurance screws me because of a technicality.

Being shot because someones temper flared up or because they're drunk.
(I've had a drunk man point a gun at me when I was his paper boy and I was just delivering the paper)

My car breaking down.

Problems happening where I am unable to afford help.

Graduating school and being unable to find a job.

I'm really crippled by fear, and I am willing to bet a lot of people have fears and like me its over things they can't control.

Is there anyone who wants to be honest about some irrational fears they have?

I'm betting I won't get any replies or it will be trivialized but I'm hoping it will make some people think.

These aren't irrational fears. But....
  • Getting cancer or some other terrible illness
  • My parents long term health care. God forbid they die in a nursing home. Or the nursing home takes all of their money.
  • Losing my business
  • Making the monthlys

What do I fear?

Not being able to work until I'm 89, like my Dad did. ..

Read Philippians 4: 6-7

Do not worry about anything. Instead pray about everything. Ask God for what you need and thank Him for what He has done. Then you will experience the true peace of Christ Jesus.

If you just realize that God is in control, you will find that there's no sense in worrying about things and you'll be much happier.

(and the flame games begin....)
