Just a little more about 300 pages, I watched nearly the whole 6 hours of it. At one point during the debate it came up there wasn't even a copy on the house floor, I believe it was Waxeman that suggested they go online to read it.

Rushed through? pffffffft, that's beyond rushed.
Stopped cold is the way I would describe it.

Ok, that was a poor choice of words on my part.

The bill did pass, just barely, in the House. It certainly is not speeding through the Senate, as it looks like they aren't going to touch it until at least September.

That's what I meant by "stopped cold" (to be fair, I probably would call someone out on such a poor choice of words, too). As per the title/topic of this thread, the Senate is part of the Congress, and this since this legislation is still pending, I don't know how one could say it is "speeding through Congress".

Default thanks for mentioning this

The media clip recording senator O's complaint against running complicated bills through approval should be run 24/7 continuously for the next 2 months. What a slime ball !

They should also run the clip of Sen Burris dogmatically decrying the thought that Blago might name a senator and how inappropriate it would be and why it would be wrong.

An electorate with short memories are required for politicians to scam us.

This is probably true. There are literally millions of people in this country that will put up with just about anything, but once a black guy becomes president it's time for armed revolution.

Mindless Obamatron debate tactic #9, when the debate is lost ,throw down the race card.

Well, I assumed by "not going to put up with it" you meant something a little more active than whining anonymously on a message board.

I guess I was wrong.
