I think its bizzare how people can actually say after 4 years in Iraq with the situation getting worse by the day and with it being a unwinnable religious war that they support our troops by leaving them there in Iraq.

Seriously, People who do support a withdrawl do not support the troops and its as easy as that.

People who want the troops to stay in Iraq where that unwinnable, religious conflict is going on do not care about the troops at all.

I am tired of the war, it is obvious they dont want peace, so why keep letting our kids die? They need to stand up and fight for their own country now. We need to start concentrating on our own issues at home.

I take offense at that remark, since I have a son in the Army. I expect an apology to me and all of the other Moms and Dads who have children in the military.

Why do you deserve an apology? He's in the war, not you. If anything you owe your son an apology for letting him go to war for a false cause.

I think its bizzare that you posted two almost identical topics at the same time on this board. One iraq topic at a time please!

What?!?!?! He didn't 'let' his son go to war anymore than you did, Shadow. I don't understand that at all. I think you're carrying bias from other threads into this one. What kinda of statement is this? I tell ya, these past two days on CD have been very troublesome.

I would STRONGLY recommend my child not go (if I had one). If they chose to go that is there decision but I would support REMOVING them from Iraq. Not leaving them over there longer for false reasons, increasing their chances of dying. This is my opinion on the current subject and only involves this thread.
