if the point of the government / taxpayers is to make GM a business success story, why are they closing profitable dealerships?
why are closed dealerships being reopened due to political pressure?


i hope americans realize that chrysler was basically given to a foreign manufacturer at NO COST to fiat. is america's manufacturing sector so healthy that we can just give it away to foreign entities?

Who said America has a healthy manufacturing sector? Hasn't Trump being saying that manufacturers have been moving to other countries himself?

^ In 2009, Obama forced GM and Chrysler (Fiat) to close a bunch of dealerships even if they were profitable.

I'm of the opinion that the entire dealership business model is grossly outdated.
