Not anything new, for sure. As I own a 1981 stepside, shortbed, that's enough. Only used for hauling jobs. I buy Volvo, only. I've got an 82 with 281K+, still get 30 mpg, and a 73 1800ES, don't know about the mileage at the moment, haven't driven it in quite some time.
Just wondering how many people here feel as I do, now that General Motors is owned by the federal government.
I'm not even letting the knowledge that General Motors is planning to build cars in China and import them into the United States, influence my decision.
I will buy the best car available for the best price that fits my needs and requirements. If GM makes it, so be it.
I have always been a Ford girl, always felt they made a better product, considering they aren't having to be nurse maided by the government and aren't cutting to shreds their employees, seems I was correct.

I agree with you, it is not right to hurt the employees and retirees because they could not handle their money correctly.
The closest I have been to buying a GM car is my Toyota Tacoma which is built at the NUMMI plant in Fremont, California. So, I can't say 'again'. I was/am opposed to the bailouts so buying a GM car is very difficult to fathom at the moment. But, if I were to purchase a GM vehicle in the future, it would be a Corvette Z06 - that would be nice...

My 2000 nissan frontier has 200000 and probably cost half of what your f150 cost. Please convince me why I should have spent twice as much.
I'd rather save my money and not pay union workers.
