I thought that, in America, if you don't like a law, you are permitted to challenge it and/or propose changes. I guess I missed the part that said you could kill people.
Taking matters into your own hands - particularly by killing someone when you call yourself "pro-life" - is ludicrous. The hypocrisy is amazing.
Yes, I understand this specific doctor may have violated some existing laws, but I'd bet anything that this was intended to be a more general statement for the pro-life cause.

yes because the whacked out religious anti abortionists who supposedly are pro life do what? Shoot and kill another human being! Like killing this doctor is going to stop abortion in the US.
Unfortunately, I am not surprised. I knew there was still a strong contingent of people out there like Paul Hill, the Florida man who shot and killed a M.D. in Pensacola who performed abortions for a clinic!
All one as to do is read the threads on this board, and it is quite evident that people with that kind of mindset are still alive and well and still seem to believe it is "God's" will that they murder.
One thread comes to mind regarding abortion posted by eeeeee, and there were over a thousand posts in that thread!
Paul Hill's mentor and good friend was a "reverend" in Virginia, and strong activist regarding abortion. A very radical and dangerous person. I'll have to check back to find his name and the information about him and his "followers."
This is very bad news indeed. Another lunatic kills a doctor!

What's the problem? This guy loved death. Personally he is where he belongs. He was no doctor. He was a murderer of innocent babies that could not defend themselves.
.
Well, the fundamental problem is that anyone can become a vigilante for any reason. If you don't work within a framework of laws developed by elected legislators, you are basically rejecting democracy.
For example, imagine a fringe "environmental activist" decides that CEOs of mining companies have poisoned and killed people, and that since the law won't act, he gets to kill them.
What's the difference there? Perhaps the killer has good evidence of people being poisoned, developing cancers, and so on from mining operations.
Does that mean he gets to make his own law?
