Neither. I am convinced that something will happen, somewhere at sometime within the US. But, how do you guard against so vague yet real of a threat? The fact that we haven't had anything till now is great -- but under both bush and obama our southern border is porous....god knows just who is being allowed in and what their purpose may be.

George Bush did more damage to this country than any terrorist and certainly caused more Americans to die, be crippled, maimed, and families ruined for life.

He didn't realize that the biggest WMD was in his mirror.

Consider the fact that Obama and the Democratic party are nothing more than opportunistic terrorists, I can't say that I would ever feel safe under their heavy handed rule.

I agree with much of what you say. But I felt MUCH safer under Bush.

I voted other since I believe in neither. Our foreign policies since WWII has helped nurture quite a bit of hostility against us, and with continued polarization of the world over last several years, we have made the situation worse. Bush administration couldn't stop 9/11, and I'm afraid the challenge will be great for Obama administration to keep them out. Decades of mismanagement will take a long time to fix.

Continued narcissism by many, coupled with fear mongering promises to maintain a status quo, if not make things worse.

Makes no difference.

I think Obama is as vigilent as Bush. Bush was more blunt about things which rubbed many the wrong way while Obama will utilze great oratory and platitudes which many will interpret as being soft. Nonetheless, he is ramping up things in Afghanistan and has already nailed his share of Taliban in Pakistan.

Terrorism is going to happen no matter how vigilant you are, no matter how much you try to instil the fear of it into your citizens, no matter how much money you spend trying to get rid of it. It's there, it's become something that we know is possible & we now live w/it.

I chose Bush but the big problem is that neither one is/was willing to admit to the American people the real cause ot terrorism. Bush told us that a few radicals had 'hijacked' Islam and were committing acts of terrorism. The reality is that they were following the directives in the hadiths and Quran to the letter. We are fortunate that the majority of musilims don't do that, either out of ignorance, apathy, or an embracing of modern beliefs. Until we look at Islam and recognize it as an enabling cause of terrorism we will never be able to beat it. We also have to fight FOR something and not just AGAINST something. We have to recognize Wetern Civilization as something we value and something worth fighting for. Otherwise we are constantly on the defensive and will eventually lose. Just look at the Mediteranian, Middle East, and Norht Africa-- all lands that used to be Christian. They fought 'defensively' as well.
