During the depression era, many banks failed: Bank Failures Cause the Great Depression
Are there any people out here who think we're going the depression era way? Or, how many people think things will get better in the coming months or year/two year period of time. When will this economy bottom out?

I don't think the impact on the economy is the same thanks to FDIC.
Remember it took them a year to say "recession" When the bailout money runs out, and businesses start failing and unemployment reaches 20-30% they will still say "severe recession" If and when the dow reaches 5000 and below, with unemployment in the 40% range and if you factor in all those who are working less than 40 hrs. a week and those working part-time who want full-time, a true unemployment of 50%-60%-then they will say depression. Though we already know it has begun.
It is my belief we are witnessing the collapse of America, right before our eyes. And I also believe it was all orchestrated. Then and only then will the people "awake" to know the real truth of how it all happened.
I want to see these big banks pay for gouging you and I who are their customers.
I think people who have large deposits had better yank their money out of banks and put it under your mattress or pillow.
One bank I'd like to see go belly up is wells fargo. they are the most recent in the news for throwing extravagent parties and get togethers in vegas. US STOCKS-Bank worries sink Wall Street; Citi plunges | Markets | U.S. | Reuters
