The White House was vandalized by the outgoing administration! (Clinton, Obama, school)

Oh wait, it was the DEMOCRATS who vandalize national property. Just couldn't resist the dig.
Say what you will about the Bush administration, they certainly have more class and respect for taxpayers money (who do you think paid for the clean up and replacement of damaged objects?) than Hillary Clinton, her husband and those who worked for them.
Fell for some more Fox Fraud, did you? I guess you're not aware of the GAO and GSA reports on those allegations and the retractions and apologies that Fox (and others) subsequently had to offer. Oh well. Some just enjoy life in La-La Land, I guess...

I will say this much about W, he was very gracious to Obama. Also, did you see that Michelle gave Laura a parting gift? Total class, imo.
Well, I thought that John Howard could easily have stayed at the Aussie Embassy and turned Blair House over to the Obama's in time for the opening of school, but otherwise Bush did do a good job of following the Legacy Project's guidelines for staging an oderly and gracious transition. As things fell apart toward the end, I think as well (and as has been suggested elsewhere) that his interest in any longer being The Decider kind of crumbled, and that all he really wanted to do was try to end on a high note, passing it all off and then getting out of town.
As for the gift, those are more or less traditional. The Bushes will have left one in the living quarters for the Obama's as well. That's not to diminish the "total class" qualifier, which, I think can be applied to all four principals in the event...

Have you been to the Aussie embassy? FYI, Its not a traditional mansion on Mass Ave.. its an office building with no housing -- so Howard could not have stayed there. Not defending Howard as I'm a Rudd/Labor Party supporter myself... just stating facts.
