At least when we're talking about racism and school grades are part of the discussion it proves how far we've come. In the 1930's and 1940's if a Black man whistled at a White woman he could very well end up swinging from a low hanging elm limb. Like I said...if a Black even came to town on election day they were beaten and locked up. In the southern U S if a Black spoke back to a White boss he was fired on the spot and that continued until after the civil rights act of 1965. Even then it took ten years of "Have To" and Affirmitive Action to begin to make a real difference.
