Well, if the El Paso Times says so, it must be the incontrovertible truth. I look at it this way: if the government decides to go military and impose martial law, then look at all the free time we'll have--there won't be any more need to debate issues relating to democracy, the Constitution and similar (suddenly irrelevant) topics.
Yes, shame on the El Paso paper for just making this up. Of course, there is no Retired Army Lt. Col. Nathan Freir and there is no Army think tank in Carlisle, Pa. It is all imaginary.
And shame on the El Paso paper for doing investigative journalism and digging out a story that has not been approved by AP and Reuters to be reprinted in every "legitimate" newspaper.
